Greentea Design is a Toronto-based retailer of high end Asian-inspired furniture and cabinetry. In 2004, they asked us for an SEO Report, that identified several site changes and both large volume generic keywords as well as niche terms. Directly after the report, they had us start on ranking them for the niche terms (Japanese furniture, Asian furniture, Chinese furniture and Oriental furniture). The niche terms were not overly competitive, and within 3 months of our Link Ninja program we had them ranked top 10 on google.com for each term. Within 6 months we had them ranked #1 and #2 for Japanese furniture, with an ad for them ranked at #3, and #4, as well as ranked #1 for Asian furniture, #6 for Chinese furniture, and #4 for Oriental furniture.

With the new rankings, traffic surged, bringing Greentea from 0 american hits, up to a couple thousand per day. They started selling furniture online to the US, sight unseen. They decided to go ahead and start us on the large volume terms, while ordering the conversion report and making many changes to improve their site.

Within 3 months, top 20 rankings for generic terms ("kitchen cabinets", "dining tables", "entertainment centers", "tv stands", "bookcases", "coffee tables", "wardrobes" and dozens more) started showing up on MSN. Within 6 months they started showing up on Google. And now they are ranked top 10 on Google for over 10 high volume keywords, and top 20 for over 30. Traffic is at over 100,000 unique visitors a month from search engines, and sales to the US have outpaced their local Toronto showroom sales

Since 2005, and continuing today, Greentea Design has hired us to handle monthly campaigns and newsletters, weekly improvements to their site in the form of A/B splits, new projects and content each month, as well as weekly SEO maintenance.
